I originally picked up this book to help my seven-year-old daughter reach her potential in gymnastics. Christian has a gift for articulating complex concepts in a way that is easy to explain to a child. However, as I dove into his personal stories and the groundwork of his framework, I realized this book was for me, too.
The “U” in his framework—Uncovering true motives of aim—was a turning point. It made me realize how often my decisions were driven by outside expectations rather than my own true motives. I find myself revisiting that chapter constantly. Even if the book had ended there, it would have been worth it; instead, the full framework has completely reenergized my approach to my own life and my family’s future.
